OAKHILL C. of E. PRIMARY OFSTED REFLECTIONS

"Inspection is still intensive but much more focused."

Oakhill is a split site school with 103 on roll. It was established some twenty years ago on the amalgamation of the schools in the villages of Alderton and Dumbleton. The two buildings were retained and the juniors are based at Alderton and the infants at Dumbleton.

The tone of the inspection was positive and the Registered Inspector stressed that she wished the school to benefit from the inspection.

Documentation Requested

  • Only Form S4and the School Improvement Plan were required before the inspection. It is worth doing a good job on these as much of the inspection was based on these. The areas highlighted as ‘being addressed’ in Form S4 were the issues selected to be the focus of the inspection.
  • Parental Questionnaire was provided for distribution by the RI.
  • Oakhill provided their ‘Review of Standards’ documents and the results of a Pupil Questionnaire. These were welcomed as useful by the inspection team.

  • There is now a new S3 Governors’ Form.
